Using a practical, hands-on approach to allow the attendees the chance to get more experienced and familiar with their camera buttons and menus. Keeping the jargon to a minimum for novices.
Showing before and after images to illustrate the principles of taking better photos and allowing attendees to experiment with taking their own photos.

Exploring the different functionality of the camera which benefits from using a tripod:
– macro, night photography and slow shutter speed techniques
Seeing different types of tripods and discussing the merits of when they could be used.

** Taking action shots **
Using the technique of fast shutter speeds and panning sport action with a practical session to try it.

** Entering Digital Projected Image competitions **
Showing and explaining the principles to resizing images and preparing for competition entry.

** Beginners guide to using Photoshop **
Using Photoshop, showing some of the basic, common functionality used on editing images, ideally allowing attendees to work on laptops or computers themselves.

** How to transfer images from camera to computer **
After taking the photos learn how to get them from the camera and stored on the computer.
